You had a bad race or one that did not meet expectations. It’s easy in that scenario to “learn” from it. It’s almost a default response…..”It wasn’t the race I was aiming for but I learned X.Y,Z”
When we have success it’s as important to learn from the experience. Focus on the things you did well- focus on the things that got you there and how you may be on the right track in the big picture. Focus on the reasons why you do not need to reinvent the wheel next time around.
It’s easy to point out all the bad stuff when something does not go well. But there is great power in knowing what you did right when things do go well.
Learn as much from your successes as you do from failures.
