Move

Your body wants to move. It’s hard wired in there. Go and watch a bunch of kids at a playground-they rarely stop moving. Their instinct is to move. Their bodies want to move. And so does yours.

For some reason when we get older we subconsciously associate movement with effort and being uncomfortable and doing work. When we get older we lose touch with our natural instinct to move. We find ways to avoid moving. We find ways for other things to move us around. We gradually stop moving.

I can promise you this- buried under that subconscious chatter your body is screaming at the top of it’s lungs to move. Your body is begging to move. No matter how old, how stiff or how crappy you feel your body wants to keep moving. It wants to experience the world through movement.

And although you subconsciously may be finding ways to limit movement your brain really loves to move as well. Your sense of well being will sky rocket with daily physical action. Jump, run, skip, lift, bounce, sex it up, play, climb, swim, ride, wheel, throw, roll….whatever…just move…get it done…gosh!
